California Gov. Gavin Newsom & Family in Quarantine After Possible Coronavirus Exposure

HeadlineNov 24, 2020

In California, Governor Gavin Newsom and his family have gone into quarantine after his children were exposed to a member of the Highway Patrol who contracted the coronavirus. Governor Newsom also apologized Monday after photos emerged of him flouting his own coronavirus guidelines while attending a dinner party at an exclusive French restaurant in Napa on November 6. Newsom was photographed wearing no mask and seated in a tight cluster of people that included the chief executive of the California Medical Association and the group’s top lobbyist.

Gov. Gavin Newsom: “I made a mistake being with a few extra people beyond the guidelines that I’ve been promoting, which is outside the household. So it was a mistake, and I let my guard down, and I apologized for it.”
