ONU lanza llamado de ayuda de emergencia para el Líbano

Las Naciones Unidas lanzaron un llamado de emergencia a la comunidad internacional para que ayude a las personas del Líbano. El llamado tiene lugar mientras el bombardeo de Israel al Líbano entra en el día catorce. El Coordinador de Ayuda de Emergencia de la ONU, Jan Egeland, dijo que se necesitan urgentemente 150 millones de dólares.

Egeland dijo: "Hay un aumento explosivo del sufrimiento de la población civil. Yo estimaría que todos los días hay miles de refugiados y decenas de miles de personas que son desplazadas de sus hogares. Las escuelas de todo el país se están llenando, como ésta escuela, de personas desesperadas que están huyendo de los bombardeos. Esto debe terminar".
