En Australia, el Primer Ministro John Howard está generando polémica hoy, luego de haber solicitado prohibir el ingreso al país de inmigrantes o refugiados VIH positivos. Howard dijo que el VIH debería comparase con la tuberculosis, a pesar de que la tuberculosis está en el aire y es contagiosa mientras que el VIH es una enfermedad transmisible.
