Más de 2.000 personas se reunieron en la iglesia Riverside de Nueva York el viernes por el funeral del legendario percusionista, educador y activista Max Roach, que murió el 16 de Agosto a los 83 años. Se le atribuye el haber ayudado a revolucionar el sonido del jazz moderno y haber desempeñado un papel fundamental en la lucha por la liberación negra tanto en EE.UU. como en África.
