El sargento reservista del ejército Marshall Thompson pasó un año en Irak trabajando como periodista militar. Informó desde todo Irak, entrevistando a miles de soldados estadounidenses. En octubre de 2006, el sargento Thompson hizo una caminata de 800 kilómetros, atravesando todo su estado natal, Utah, para protestar contra la guerra y pedir la retirada de las tropas estadounidenses.
