En Chicago, casi 10.000 periodistas de color se han reunido para participar en una convención que reúne a miembros de la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas Negros (NABJ), la Asociación Nacional de Periodistas Hispanos (NAHJ), la Asociación de Periodistas Asiático-Estadounidenses (AAJA) y la Asociación de Periodistas Indígenas Norteamericanos (ANAJ). La conferencia está organizada por UNITY, Journalists of Color, Inc.
