La nueva estrategia de Estados Unidos respecto a Sudán rechaza el enfoque de los “Halcones”

Tras meses de deliberaciones, el gobierno de Obama hizo pública el lunes una nueva estrategia respecto a Sudán. La Casa Blanca planea ofrecer al gobierno sudanés una mezcla de incentivos y presión para instar a Jartum a que ponga fin a la crisis de Darfur e instaure el acuerdo de paz de 2005 entre el norte y el sur. Contamos con la opinión del profesor de la Universidad de Columbia Mahmood Mamdani, autor de “Saviors and Survivors: Darfur, Politics, and the War on Terror” (Salvadores y sobrevivientes: Jartum, la política y la guerra contra el terrorismo).
