El productor jefe de Democracy Now! Sharif Abdel Kouddous ha vuelto de Egipto luego de haber estado varias semanas informando sobre el levantamiento contra el presidente Hosni Mubarak, cuyo gobierno gozaba del respaldo estadounidense. "Me parece sorprendente que el mundo entero fuera testigo de que Egipto lograra algo así", cuenta Kouddous. "Egipto está exportando democracia a Estados Unidos".
