Denuncian presencia de fuerte aparato de seguridad en la cumbre de la OTAN mientras se recortan los servicios sociales

El sábado, cientos de manifestantes marcharon a la residencia del alcalde de Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, ex jefe de gabinete del presidente Obama, para repudiar los recortes de los servicios sociales implementados por Emanuel y el financiamiento de un enorme operativo de seguridad en la cumbre de la OTAN. El día anterior, un grupo de enfermeros había encabezado una marcha en el centro de Chicago para protestar contra las medidas de austeridad. "Ellos dicen recortar; nosotros decimos defender", gritaban los manifestantes. "Tenemos que unirnos", sostiene la enfermera jubilada Kay McVay. "Cuando uno se corta, sale sangre, no oro. Sangre."
