DESCRIPTION: For 150 years, The Cooper Union has provided a platform for advancing social justice and political change. Great Evenings in The Great Hall will feature Amy Goodman and Tony nominee Maria Tucci (The Rose Tattoo) in Radical Politics, a dramatic tribute to the rallying cries of Eugene V. Debs, Daniel DeLeon, Max Eastman, Mother Jones, Emma Goldman and Norman Thomas. Highlights from the civic movements that have inspired and infuriated Americans for generations include protest songs and excerpts from the 1883 memorial service in The Great Hall for Karl Marx. Michael Unger will direct this free performance.
