DESCRIPTION: Amy Goodman will join Patti Smith, Pete Seeger, Jonathan Schell, Winona La Duke — and award co-founder Claus Biegert — for the 2010 Nuclear-Free Future Award to honor and celebrate the work of the African Uranium Alliance; Oleg Bodrov of Russia; Bruno Barrillot of France; Martin Sheen of the USA; and Henry Red Cloud of the Lakota Nation. Opening address by Chief Oren Lyons of the Onondaga Nation. Musical performances by Patti Smith, Joanne Shenandoah, Peter Gordon and Lian O’Maonlai. Doors open at 6 pm for the exhibit, The Face of the Nuclear Age, images by Robert Del Tredici, founder of the Atomic Photographers Guild.
