A Tribute to Utah Phillips
Democracy Now!’s Amy Goodman pays tribute to Utah Phillips (1935-2008), the legendary folk musician and peace and labor activist. Phillips was a lifelong member of the Industrial Workers of the World, known as the Wobblies, served in the Korean War, lived as a hobo, and started a nationally syndicated folk music radio show in Nevada City. Goodman revisits an interview with Phillips in Santa Cruz in January 2004, where they discuss his life and work.
This tribute was originally broadcast on Democracy Now! on May 27, 2008, and can be found here.
