  • "If It’s Monday, it’s Money"

    To become president, either finance your own campaign or have large money investors backing. Our candidates today are being funded by economically interested large companies, Wall Street or financially powerful individuals who stay around even after the campaign. The money affects who our candidates are and their policies. Current campaign financing is loop-holed. The threshold is set too high for most Americans so that only the wealthy can afford to support candidates.

  • Arizona Republican Primary update

    An update on the primary in Arizona and the environmental issues surrounding them. People for the West is corporate funded, a citizen’s organization and far right group. They are backing Pat Buchanan. Convention in Tempe to promote their cause. People for the West is against Southwest Center’s actions to preserve the land. They feel it’s bad for the economy. Green party is trying to get Ralph Nader on the ballot and need 15,000 names to do so.

  • Cuba’s Downing of 2 US Civilian Airplanes

    U.N. Security Council pushing for U.S. to place blame on Cuba; Cuba accuses US of lying and says they can prove the planes were inside Cuban airspace at the time, Cuba’s Foreign Ministry was responding directly to U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher’s statements that the planes were over international waters at the time, Cuba says it has a pilot from "Brothers to the Rescue" a Miami based pilots group whose planes were involved in the incident.
