  • Death Row in Georgia

    Today, tens of thousands of spectators will cheer the competitors at Atlanta’s Olympic Stadium. Though, just 40 miles away from Olympic Stadium, more than 100 men sit on Death Row in a Georgia prison.

  • Debate of the Death Penalty

    Palmer Singleton, a Staff Attorney at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta. He and a small group of attorneys at the Center defend people accused of capital crimes, people facing the death penalty, at all levels throughout the state of Georgia. Retired Marine Major George Cullins is a board member of Citizens for Law and Order. In the mid 80’s he helped organize the campaign to kick out the three California judges, including Rose Bird, who supported the death penalty. His daughter Janette was murdered in 1984. The man convicted of killing her is on death row. He was convicted in two other trials of murdering two other young women as well.
