  • Dole’s Proposed Tax Cut

    Republican Presidential Hopeful Bob Dole yesterday unveiled a giant tax cut proposal he hopes will attract middle class voters to his campaign. Critics quickly charged that the 548 billion dollars in tax cuts over six years will balloon the federal deficit, a move inconsistent for a leader who has promised to balance the federal budget. But Dole was armed and ready to answer the charges.

  • Republican Platform Hearings: Christian Coalition Gets Abortion Off

    The Republican Platform Hearings in San Diego got off to a controversial start yesterday as Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed won his battle to get language expressing tolerance for different views on abortion wiped off the platform document.
