Arundhati Roy Interview 2006

Arundhati Roy Interview 2006

Born in Shillong, India, Arundhati Roy has devoted herself to political writing and activism. Her first novel, “The God of Small Things,” was awarded the Booker Prize in 1997. It has sold over six millions copies and has been translated into over 20 languages worldwide. Since Sept. 11, she has emerged as one of the most eloquent critics of the Bush administration’s so-called war on terror. In June of 2005, she served as a Chair of Jury of Conscience at the World Tribunal on Iraq.
