Haley’s statement on Sunday came only days after President Trump threatened to cut off funding to countries if they voted against the United States’ decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Despite Trump’s threats, the U.N. General Assembly voted overwhelmingly against the U.S. last week.
