World Health Organization Warns Summer Weather Isn’t Slowing Coronavirus

HeadlineJul 29, 2020

In Geneva, the World Health Organization warned Tuesday that summertime temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere are failing to slow the spread of the coronavirus. WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris warned against complacency, saying the pandemic is continuing to worsen across much of the world.

Margaret Harris: “Summer is a problem. This virus likes all weathers. But what it particularly likes is jumping from one person to another when we come in close contact. So let’s not give it that opportunity. So, the second wave idea, we are in the first wave. It’s going to be one big wave.”
