In other news on Gaza, Canada’s government has announced it will halt weapons shipments to Israel after the Canadian Parliament approved a nonbinding resolution on the issue. The motion, which passed by a vote of 204 to 117, also called on Canada to work “towards the establishment of the state of Palestine.”
