President Trump says Venezuela will give between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil — worth $2 billion — to the U.S. In a post on social media, President Trump said, “This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States!” Reuters is reporting that the oil was slated to be shipped to China but will be redirected to the U.S. China has been Venezuela’s top importer of crude oil over the past decade.
