What won’t we hear about foreign policy as the 2018 midterms unfold? More than we think, according to Nermeen Shaikh, Co-Host and Producer at Democracy Now!

In addition to her role at Democracy Now! Nermeen Shaikh has previously worked in research and non-governmental organizations around the world. She has an M.Phil. from Cambridge University and is the author of The Present as History: Critical Perspectives on Global Power (Columbia University Press). In this one of a kind edition of the 2018 Midterm Explainer, Nermeen will offer some ideas on how foreign policy coverage is often distorted, privileging as it does certain voices while simultaneously eliding broader structural conditions of power and complicity.

This event is part of the midterm explainer event series.
