Henry Siegman, a leading voice of U.S. Jewry, is interviewed by Amy Goodman and Nermeen Shaikh. Siegman is former head of the American Jewish Congress and the Synagogue Council of America. He discusses the ongoing Israeli assault, Hamas rocket attacks and Israel’s founding in 1948. He says peace is attainable if the U.S. reverses support for the occupation. Born in Germany, Siegman also talks about his own background fleeing the Holocaust.
