Noam Chomsky–the renowned linguist and political analyst–was in New York on June 6, 2006 where he gave a press conference at the United Nations. Democracy Now! was there to capture Chomsky’s two-hour exchange with reporters. Chomsky was asked to give his take on the current political climate in Latin America. Chomsky is professor of linguistics and philosophy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is author of dozens of books, including his latest "Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy."
