WATCH: Judiciary Committee Trump Impeachment Hearing

After a tense hearing on Thursday that lasted more than 14 hours, the House Judiciary Committee reconvened to hold televised impeachment hearings led by Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-NY. Today the committee voted to send the impeachment charges to the full House of Representatives for a vote.

On Thursday, December 12, the Committee held 14 hours of debate on the two articles of impeachment against President Trump.

On December 11th, the Judiciary Committee began its debate on the articles of impeachment.

On December 5th, Speaker Nancy Pelosi called upon the House of Representatives to begin drafting articles of impeachment against President Trump.

The Judiciary Committee is charged with drawing up articles of impeachment against the president, which will then go to the House floor for a final vote. This is is only the third time in U.S. history there have been televised impeachment hearings.

The second day of Judiciary Committee hearings took place Monday, December 9.

The House Judiciary Committee held an eight and a half hour televised impeachment hearing Wednesday December 4, 2019 where four law experts gave testimony about the constitutional nature of impeachment.
