Pence’s announcement came after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas canceled a planned meeting with Pence in Bethlehem and called for an “angry” demonstration to protest President Trump’s decision on Jerusalem. Pence now says he’ll visit Egypt and Israel in February.
