North Dakota Hospitals Fill to Capacity as Coronavirus Cases Surge Nationwide

HeadlineOct 09, 2020

Across the United States there were over 56,000 positive tests for coronavirus reported Thursday — and over 900 more deaths. A new model by the CDC predicts another 20,000 people will die of COVID-19 by Halloween, adding to 212,000 confirmed U.S. deaths since March. In Bismarck, North Dakota, hospitals reached 100% capacity this week. Some COVID-19 patients were turned away and offered a “home monitoring program” instead of a hospital bed.
