Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos who was overthrown in 1986, appears to have a significant lead over current Vice President Leni Robredo, who’s in second place. Survivors of Marcos’s brutal two-decade regime are angered by his son’s candidacy and have recounted horrific details of what they endured under Marcos’s rule. This is a former political prisoner.
