In other immigration news, ICE shot and killed a man in the Chicago suburbs who authorities say was resisting arrest on Friday during a traffic stop. Thirty-eight-year-old Silverio Villegas Gonzales allegedly dragged an ICE agent with his car, who later fired his weapon at Villegas Gonzales. In a statement, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights said, “This killing is the latest in a mounting pile of evidence that Trump’s mass deportation machine is completely out of control.” Protesters denounced ICE’s killing of Villegas Gonzales.
