Neil Young Launches Anti-GMO “Monsanto Years” Campaign on Democracy Now!

Neil Young premiered his new anti-GMO song and video, “A Rock Star Bucks a Coffee Shop,” on Democracy Now! on Friday’s show. The song appears on his new album, “The Monsanto Years,” which he recorded with Promise of the Real, a group featuring Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah.

After Neil Young shared the video with us, we played it during one of our music breaks. By the end of the day, news spread throughout the music world, from Rolling Stone to Pitchfork.
