Amy Goodman is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a daily, independent, award-winning news program airing on over 1,200 public television and radio stations worldwide.

In 2012, she received the Gandhi Peace Award, and is the first journalist to receive the Right Livelihood Award, widely known as the “Alternative Nobel Prize.” She and her brother, Vermont journalist David Goodman, are co-authors of three New York Times bestselling books.

Amy will be in public conversation with David talking about her life and work and the role of independent media in a democratic society. Second in a series of adventures of the mind, the Vermont Town Hall features intriguing people in public conversations.
