    Taxes have figured prominently into many a Presidential election. Remember George Bush’s famous line "Read My Lips?" In an election year candidates who promise sweeping tax cuts seem to gain more popular support. But who is actually paying most of the taxes in this country and is the current system fair? What are the leading candidates proposing to do?

  • AFFIRMATIVE ACTION RALLY/MARCH.

    Sunday in San Francisco, the National Organization for Women sponsored a rally to save affirmative action. This November, Californians will vote on something called the "California Civil Rights Initiative," a ballot measure that would end affirmative action programs in the state. Pacifica Reporter Phillip Babich covered the rally for us and joins us for a discussion with taped highlights of this event.
