Democracy Now!’s work is led by 50 innovative and passionate NYC-based employees, a skilled team of fellows and interns, and hundreds of volunteers around the globe. Put your skills and talents to work strengthening independent media by becoming a part of this dynamic team today.
Current Openings
Fellowships
Democracy Now! fellowships are full-time, one-year work placements with benefits including medical, dental and retirement. The fellowships provide support and mentorship to early-career journalists and digital media professionals, including BIPOC, people with disabilities and gender nonconforming people.
Democracy Now! is committed to building greater diversity in newsrooms and training the next generation of journalists. Fellows will develop skills and gain experience in a daily live TV news environment, and have the opportunity to bring their unique voices, perspectives and experiences into the newsroom. All fellowships take place at our Manhattan, NY studio where we produce our daily news hour. Democracy Now! staff provide one-on-one mentorship and supervision to help fellows maximize their exposure to newsroom, production and online publishing practices.

Internships
Democracy Now! Internships are paid temporary work placements to help students, people early in their careers and career changers to gain entry-level skills and experience in the fields of archiving and fundraising in a non-profit setting.
