Democracy Now! reports on the case of Georgia death row prisoner Troy Davis. Davis was convicted in 1989 of killing of off-duty white police officer, Mark MacPhail. Since then, seven of the nine non-police witnesses who fingered Davis have recanted their testimony, and there is no physical evidence that ties Davis to the crime scene. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal March 28, 2011. With his legal appeals exhausted, the fate of Davis rests largely in the hands of Georgia’s Board of Pardons and Parole.
