And George Orwell’s “1984” has become a best-seller in the days after President Trump took office. Penguin, the publisher, reports a 9,500 percent sales increase since last Friday, the day of Trump’s inauguration. The classic dystopian work introduced the world to the terms “Big Brother,” “thought police,” “newspeak” and “doublethink”—words that many are finding have new meaning under the Trump administration.
