President Trump is heading to Capitol Hill for a second day to continue lobbying for the Republican healthcare plan, which is set for a full House vote Thursday. On Tuesday, Trump reportedly threatened Republican lawmakers during a closed-door meeting in efforts to convince them to vote for the bill. The Washington Post reports Trump singled out North Carolina Republican Congressmember Mark Meadows, saying, “I’m gonna come after you, but I know I won’t have to, because I know you’ll vote ‘yes.’” Meadows is head of the Republican Party’s right-wing Freedom Caucus, which has opposed the Republican plan, calling it “Obamacare Lite” and saying it does not go far enough to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.
