India Coronavirus Cases Surge Amid Global Rise in COVID-19

Around the globe, as countries continue to ease on coronavirus lockdowns and restrictions, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has topped 7.5 million, and the death toll has topped 420,000. Coronavirus cases continue to surge in India. With nearly 300,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, India has surpassed Britain as the world’s fourth most affected country. India is now behind only the United States, Brazil and Russia. Public health authorities warn India could soon run out of hospital beds.
