The board of trustees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has voted to grant tenure to incoming journalism professor Nikole Hannah-Jones, ending a weeks-long dispute. The university initially denied her tenure after a prominent donor raised issues about her work on the 1619 Project.
