In healthcare news, a new study shows the cost of healthcare premiums for workers and their employers has risen nearly 80 percent since 2001. The rise is more than four times the size of wage hikes and inflation over the same period. The Kaiser Family Foundation says premiums saw their lowest rise this year at 6 percent. But that still outpaced a less than 4 percent rise in employee wages. Up to two million people are said to lose health insurance each year.
