In Ghana, incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo was announced the winner of a contested election which has led to at least five people being killed in related violence since Monday. Earlier today, Ghana’s opposition rejected the election results and vowed to take steps to overturn it. It was the third time President Akufo-Addo faced off against former President John Mahama for the presidency.
