On Capitol Hill, Republican leaders appear to have convinced enough far-right holdouts to win passage of President Trump’s sweeping package of tax cuts for the wealthy and deep cuts to social programs including Medicaid and food assistance. We’ll go to Capitol Hill for an update later in the broadcast.
