A. Peter Bailey

is a journalist, author and lecturer. He helped Malcolm X found the Organization of Afro-American Unity and edited its newsletter, Blacklash. Bailey was one of the last people to speak with Malcolm X on the day of his assassination on February 21, 1965. He is the author of Witnessing Brother Malcolm X, the Master Teacher and co-author of Seventh Child: A Family Memoir of Malcolm X. He also helped John Henrik Clarke edit his book, Malcolm X: The Man and His Times.
