Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times foreign correspondent, speaking to Democracy Now! on April 6, 2011, about his reporting in Libya, in which he was captured for several days by Gaddafi forces. He died Feb. 16, 2012, from an apparent asthma attack while reporting in Syria.
