Visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. Previously, Dorronsoro was a professor of political science at the Sorbonne, Paris, and is the author of the book Revolution Unending: Afghanistan, 1979 to the Present and the new report ”Focus and Exit: An Alternative Strategy for the Afghan War”
