One of the plaintiffs in the Supreme Court same-sex marriage case. Rowse and her partner, April DeBoer, initially went to court in Michigan to win the right to jointly adopt each other’s children. They then challenged the state’s ban on same-sex marriage since joint adoption in Michigan is tied to marriage.
