Puerto Rican lawyer, sociologist and educator. He is professor emeritus of the University of Puerto Rico and the founder of its Department of Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Falcón is the editor of the just-released book of López’s letters and reflections called Oscar López Rivera: Between Torture and Resistance.
