Served as an infantryman in the Army from 2010 to 2013 and deployed to Iraq in 2011. He was stationed at Fort Hood for his entire time in the Army when he was not overseas. He is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War and is helping to produce their report coming out on Memorial Day about soldiers at Fort Hood, that includes recommendations for policy changes there.
