Join Juan González, co-host of Democracy Now and author of RECLAIMING GOTHAM: Bill de Blasio and the Movement to End America’s Tale of Two Cities, at the University of Richmond for a talk titled, “Paradise Lost: Puerto Rico’s Descent into Economic Collapse and Climate Devastation and Prospects for its Recovery.”

During the talk, Juan will address questions such as: What caused the island to descend into the biggest financial bankruptcy of any local government in U.S. history? Why did Hurricane María produce unprecedented collapses of power and water systems, loss of life and massive flight to the mainland?
