Join Juan González, co-host of Democracy Now! and author of RECLAIMING GOTHAM: Bill de Blasio and the Movement to End America’s Tale of Two Cities, for a talk. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto will give the keynote address in the morning at this all-day event.

Juan, Mayor Yulín Cruz Soto, and others will speak during a symposium at Rutgers titled “A Call to Action: Future Challenges for a New Puerto Rico,” which unites experts in dialogue and conversation around the current state of affairs in Puerto Rico and the future challenges and opportunities in rebuilding the island following the devastation of Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
