US Military Special Operations Forces Train Police?

    Navy Seals training your local police officers, and cops using MP-5 automatic weapons, Ninja-style battle dress uniforms and armored personnel carriers? Is this just an extension of “black-helicopter” paranoia? Not according to a stunning new study which says that in police departments around the country these are real scenarios, with police being trained increasingly by US military special operations forces.

    Joining us today to take a special, in-depth look at the growing
    militarization of police forces around the country is the report’s author —
    Peter Kraska. He is professor at the Department of Police Studies in the
    College of Law Enforcement at Eastern Kentucky University based in
    Richmond, Kentucky.
