Nevada City Fines Venue That Hosted Trump Rally Which Violated State’s Coronavirus Restrictions

HeadlineSep 15, 2020

The city of Henderson, Nevada, has issued a $3,000 fine to the venue that hosted a large indoor Trump rally over the weekend for violating Nevada’s COVID-19 guidelines. Thousands attended the event. Most did not wear masks. A local reporter asked Trump if he was concerned about getting infected.

Debra Saunders: “Aren’t you concerned about getting COVID, though, in an enclosed room?”

President Donald Trump: “No, I’m not concerned.”

Debra Saunders: “What about people here?”

President Donald Trump: “I’m more concerned about how close you are, to be honest.”

Debra Saunders: “Sorry about that.”

President Donald Trump: “Because you know why? I’m on a stage. It’s very far away. And so I’m not at all concerned.”
